On the map screen, look for the El Train tracks cut through the middle of the district from North to South. On the Eastern side of it is a (relatively) small building that’s on an angle compared to the buildings around it. Near where the train tracks stop (on the map screen, at least), look for a building under construction with a yellow crane over it.
The young Spider-Man helps Martin escape, sensing Martin wants to atone. Mister Negative eventually helps Peter free Miles and makes it clear he wants to be a better person. Martin is also one of the key reasons why Peter was able to defeat Venom. Mister Negative’s arc is pretty heartwarming, proving Miles can inspire change. Scorpion returns after the first game, but in a more minimalist role.
There, follow the highway South until it gets to the Southern coast. This Spider-Bot, Peni Parker, is located in the North-Eastern corner of Downtown Brooklyn. The largest skyscraper in this area is a white building with square windows. The Blood-Spider Spider-Bot can be found in the North-West corner of mainland Astoria. Collecting them all will unlock a cool and unique quest you don’t want to miss, which you can read about at the bottom of this page.
Downtown Queens – Spider-bot – Into The Spider-verse
This time the superheroes must face two primary villains – Kraven the Hunter and Venom. Of course, a hero is nothing without its villains, and Spider-Man’s rogues gallery is almost unparalleled. Outside of the likes of Venom, Kraven, and Lizard seen in the trailers, Insomniac has kept many more cards hidden up its sleeve. I won’t even hint at any of these except to say that Spider-Man 2 opens with a bang, offering up a sense of scale not previously seen in the series. It’s an adrenaline-fuelled reintroduction to the series that tests how well you remember the combat, as well as providing a few new tricks. It’s also the start of one of the new side-story villain threads that are optional, and while those don’t offer anything overly new in terms of gameplay, they do add valuable extra scraps of story.
Trouble With Harry
The most interesting part of his section of the game is the symbiote. Peter got jealous of Miles’ venom powers – sharing the name of the villain despite having no connection and never being mentioned – so he stole Doc Ock’s arms and made them his own. Even though the four metal arms are usually reserved for the Iron Spider suit. There is also a variety of side characters that will pop up throughout the adventure. They range in likability, but it helps to make the world more alive.
